Mary Newton received her undergraduate
degree from the University of Louisville, Louisville, KY where she
is presently an Instructor of Drawing and Painting. In 1990, she
earned her MFA from the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, OH,
after which she began exhibiting work in numerous locations including
cities in Alabama, South Carolina, West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky.
She was the recipient of the Juror's and Purchase Award at Wright
State University in 1996 and was granted The Al Smith Fellowship
in Painting from the Kentucky Arts Council in both 1992 and 2000.
