KAREN
SPEARS: NEW
PAINTINGS AND DRAWINGS
November
21-February 8, 2009
|
The
Ann Tower Gallery is pleased to present Karen
Spears: New Paintings and Drawings, a series
of vibrant and mysterious paintings and drawings.
Spears' work is rooted in real-life situations, which
she interprets in a fragmentary, dream-like way. Spears
explains that she is interested in the tension between
what is known and what is felt. She said, “When
I work, I often feel as if I am carrying on a dialogue
with my subconscious.”
